In this course, you will be introduced to the principles of business in the 21st century!  Skills to be learned include:

As this is a 9-week course, we have a lot to cover in a short period of time.  Be prepared to have a fast-paced, enjoyable learning experience!

SYLLABUS

ALL students will be given a course syllabus.  It is the student's responsibility to take their syllabus home, get a parent signature, and keep it in their notebook.  Should a student lose his/her syllabus, it is their responsibility to print another on their own time, i.e. at home or library.

PROFESSIONAL ATTIRE

What:Professional Dress Day

When: EVERY Thursday (unless prior notice is given)

In an effort to promote professionalism, simulate a business environment, and prepare students for high school and beyond, students will be have the OPTION of participating in  professional dress days throughout the 9 week course.  Professional dress days are for Extra Credit (+25 points) and not required.

Acceptable attire includes business or business casual clothing based on your preference.  We have discussed the specifics of this attire in class and examples have been given.  JEANS AND/OR SNEAKERS ARE NOT ACCEPTABLE!  A clothing/shoe purchase is not expected.

BOYS:  Button down shirt (with tie), polo shirt, slacks or Khaki pants. Shirts MUST be tucked in and pants MUST fit appropriately.

GIRLS:  Skirt, dress, slacks, blazer, dress shirt, polo shirt.  NO FLIP FLOPS!
